Survivor Sunday: Own Your Fucking Owl
Oct 30, 2011 Survivor Sunday
Every Sunday, I feature a post from the past week that I think epitomizes what it means to be a survivor in the world of blog zombies – a post that makes you think, educates you, and inspires you to be better. There are some great bloggers doing some great things out there!
Today’s Survivor Sunday is from Erika Napoletano from RedheadWriting. Her bitch slap posts are always right on the money, but this one is especially awesome. From the post:
When we wake up every day, we pay the price of admission to life. No matter where we are or what we’re doing, we’ve paid. We’re in, and anyone who wants to tell you differently can get bent.

Today’s Survivor Sunday is from Chris Ducker, who writes at Virtual Business Lifestyle. If you’re considering working online, this short guide will help you get started with your virtual business launch. Part One is great, but Part Two is even better. From the post:
Think about it – there are lots of online products that they can purchase – but, they’re buying yours! Respect that. Embrace it. It’s the responsibility or every virtual entrepreneur to take care of their customers properly, not only so that they remain happy and content, but also to make sure that they sing from the rafters about how fantastic you AND your eBook or video course is. In the world of the social web, this couldn’t be any more important than it is right now!

Survivor Sunday: The Secret To Happiness… And Why It Has Nothing To Do With Money

Every Sunday, I’ll feature a post from the past week that I think epitomizes what it means to be a survivor in the world of blog zombies – a post that makes you think, educates you, and inspires you to be better. There are some great bloggers doing some great things out there!
Today’s Survivor Sunday feature is a post from Todd Tresidder who blogs at FinancialMentor.com. It’s definitely a post that I think everyone should read, and even if daily affirmations aren’t your cup of tea, I hope this post gets you thinking a little differently about how you define happiness. From the post:
Happiness is a state of mind and completely within your control regardless of your financial situation. Don’t make the same mistake I made and wait until you gain financial freedom to learn these lessons. You can have happiness right now regardless of your finances or what is going on in your life because happiness is a choice. It is a state of mind.

Hat tip to Pat Flynn at Smart Passive Income for recently blogging about Todd’s post, which brought it to my attention even though it is a bit older than the posts I usually feature here.

Today’s Survivor Sunday feature is a post from Ted Murphy about the current Wall Street protesting situation. I don’t like to get super political, but I think this post is right on the money!
I believe that there are positive ways to approach any problem. America was built on optimism and capitalism, let’s not sit around complaining about corporations keeping us down… lets go out there and create a the next generation of corporations.
